Where do I enter my non-winning tickets into a 2nd Chance drawing?
The quickest way to enter 2nd Chance is to click the Enter a Ticket link at the top of our website on your computer or at the top of the lower navigation menu on your mobile device.
You can also navigate to the 2nd Chance page of our website using the main navigation. All current and recently ended 2nd Chance contests will be listed on this page. Scroll down the list and choose the appropriate contest.
If this is your first time entering, you must register before you can log in and submit entries. To register, click the Sign Up/Log In link found at the top of our website or in the secondary navigation section on mobile to complete and submit your registration information.
Can I participate by mailing my non-winning tickets to the Lottery?
No, 2nd Chance entries may not be mailed in. Entries that are submitted through the mail will be disqualified. The Minnesota Lottery may not submit 2nd Chance entries on your behalf. If you have mailed in your non-winning tickets for a 2nd Chance entry and would like your tickets returned, please contact Customer Support at (651) 635-8273 option #1.
When I try to enter my scratch ticket in a 2nd Chance, I get a message that the ticket is not valid. What should I do?
- First, make sure the ticket you are holding is not a winning scratch ticket. You can check your tickets at any Lottery retail location. Only non-winning scratch tickets may be entered for a 2nd Chance.
- Next, for scratch tickets, make sure you fill in the game number in the first box, then the 2nd chance entry code in the second box. For lotto, simply fill in the entry code in the entry box.
- Then, check that the numbers you are entering exactly match what's on your ticket. Do NOT include any dashes (-), spaces or other characters. When entering codes that contain letters, use ALL CAPS.
- It’s possible that your entry may appear to be invalid because of old data in your browser cache. We recommend clearing your cache and cookies to remove old data. Sometimes you can clear the cache just for the page you’re on by holding down the shift key and pressing Enter or Return.
- Finally, if you've verified these steps and you believe that the ticket you’re trying to enter is a non-winning ticket for an active 2nd Chance contest, you may contact the Lottery's Customer Support staff at (651) 635-8273, option #1. Customer Support can be reached Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.
Note: To view ticket entries please log into your account and select Entry History to see all your current entries.
Can I enter a 2nd Chance more than one time?
YES! You may enter a 2nd Chance as many times as you wish. However, each entry requires the use of a separate, qualified, non-winning ticket.
How can I be sure that my entry was successfully submitted? Can I verify which tickets I have entered?
To view ticket entries please log into your account and select Entry History to see all your current entries.
Note: If you cannot see your entries for current drawings, please contact the Lottery's Customer Support Division at (651) 635-8273, option #1. Customer Support can be reached Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.
Can I delete an entry?
No, once your entry has been successfully submitted, it cannot be deleted. All entries are final.
How do I find out if I am a 2nd Chance winner?
The winners in each 2nd Chance drawing are posted on the 2nd Chance Winners page once they have been verified or listed on the individual 2nd Chance contest page. The Minnesota Lottery will attempt to notify each winner by telephone, U.S. mail or email using the contact information provided in the winner's registration data in their member account.
