Thank you for visiting www.mnlottery.com or the Minnesota Lottery mobile application (“mobile app” or “App”). Any use of this website or mobile app is subject to these Minnesota Lottery Website and Mobile App Terms of Use. Please review carefully.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Minnesota Lottery (“Lottery”) website (“Site”), mobile application (together “Site/App”), and all related websites, networks, downloadable software, and other technology services offered by the Lottery (collectively with the “Site/App,” the “Services”). These Terms do not supplant or modify Minnesota law but clarify the Lottery’s expectations of users of the Site, App, and the Services.

By using the Site/App, you acknowledge your full understanding and acceptance of these Terms and confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.

As used herein, “Account” refers to a Lottery Account registered on the Services; “Content” refers to any text, image, picture, video, audio, software, code, data, application, program, process, feature, function, service, or other material of any kind offered on the Services. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Minnesota Lottery, its agents, contractors, sub-contractors, and third parties involved in producing or delivering the Services, mobile application, or Services. “You” or “your” refers to you, the user/participant/member/visitor.

Website and Mobile App Changes

We reserve the right to add, remove, modify, suspend, or terminate the Services or any aspect of the Services at any time and without notice. We are not liable for any damages or losses resulting from any such changes.

Ownership of Website and Content

All content appearing on the Services; including but not limited to, all copyrights, trademarks, service marks, trade dress, and all other intellectual property rights in and to the Services are owned by the Minnesota Lottery or other third parties who have licensed their content to the Minnesota Lottery. Unless you have our express written consent, you agree not to: copy, reproduce, modify, translate, display, publish, distribute, transmit, or otherwise make the Services, its content, or any aspect thereof available to or through any third party.

Member Account

The Lottery member account is a voluntary Site/App feature designed for players and other participants in the Minnesota Lottery. Membership is strictly voluntary and in no way affects consumers’ ability to interact with the Lottery, such as purchasing tickets or winning Lottery games. Membership is required for second chance drawings, giveaways, opting in to receive promotional emails and certain App features. Membership is open to individuals age 18 or older with a valid email address. Only one (1) membership account per person. The same Account can access both Site/App. Only the registered account member, acting on their own behalf, is permitted to use the member account. Utilizing more than one (1) single active Lottery account may subject you to disqualification in any Lottery promotions associated with the Site/App. The Lottery reserves the right, without warning, to terminate membership(s) of any individual who purposely establishes more than one single active Account and any selected entry associated with such Account in any drawing may be disqualified. Any attempt to circumvent these requirements by entering false data into the sign-up form may constitute fraud. You are solely responsible for all activity on your Account and for the security of your computer systems/mobile devices. You are responsible for ensuring that the contact information that you provided for your Account is current and valid. Failure to keep such information updated may result in forfeiture of prizes. Member accounts cannot be assigned or transferred.

Lottery may, at any time and without notice, suspend or terminate your account if you breach or are suspected of breaching any of these Terms or if Lottery is not satisfied that the account information you provided is true, accurate and current, or if Lottery in its sole and absolute discretion deems it appropriate.

Lottery may require players to provide additional information if required to comply with applicable laws or regulatory requirements, or if Lottery determines information and documentation to be necessary in order to prevent fraud or other prohibited activity (whether suspected or actual) or to address a breach (suspected or actual) of these Terms, to confirm a player’s identity or comply with reporting requirements.

Account members have the option to deactivate. If you choose to deactivate your member account, we will deactivate your profile but may retain any record of your information consistent with the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act. By registering for a member account, you acknowledge and consent that, even after the deactivations of your profile and personal information from the Site/App, your information may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of individuals who have copied or stored such information or content. Once deactivated we may or may not be able to reactivate your account. If you wish to reactivate your account, please contact us and we will determine whether it is possible.

Account members have the option to delete their account. All player data will be erased or disassociated and cannot be recovered – including Promotion entry and ticket history. Any promotional ticket entries associated with the deleted account will not be eligible in any pending drawings. Tickets entered for a promotional draw from a deleted account are not eligible for re-entry. If your account is deleted and you want to use our services in the future, you will need to create a new account.

Lottery may wish to consider some of these optional terms, which can be useful if issues arise with respect to certain players/ accounts, or if regulatory requirements change over time.

The information contained in the Minnesota State Lottery website and App is provided for informational purposes only. While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information on this Site/App, including winning numbers, the Minnesota State Lottery and the state of Minnesota make no warranties, guarantees, or representations of any kind, express or implied, as to the content, accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of the information contained in this Site/App. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Lottery expressly disclaims any responsibility or liability for any errors, inaccuracies, or the untimeliness of any information contained herein. The Minnesota Lottery attempts to ensure that the winning numbers and jackpot amounts are posted correctly. However, posted numbers are unofficial. The only official source for verifying winning numbers on a player’s ticket is the Minnesota Lottery central computer system. To confirm that a ticket is a winner, please have the ticket validated through a sales terminal at any Minnesota Lottery retailer or Lottery regional office or headquarters.

Disruption of Service

Access to the Services or their content may be unavailable, delayed, limited, or slowed by various disruptions in service. We are not liable for any damages or losses resulting from any disruption in service.

Third-party Links

The Minnesota Lottery is not responsible for the contents of any off-site pages referenced on its website or app. Any links on the Minnesota Lottery website or mobile app are solely to provide information for the visitor. The Lottery does not endorse any particular viewpoint that appears on any webpage linked on this Site. The Lottery does not control the authenticity, accuracy, relevance, timeliness, or completeness of information on any links. The Lottery cannot control and is not liable for defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of other users, links, or third parties. The risk of injury from engaging with any website rests entirely with the user. Links from this Site/App to other websites do not constitute an endorsement from the Lottery. Age Requirement

A person must be 18 years of age or older to buy a Lottery ticket, sign up for a member account or email, redeem a prize, or enter a contest, giveaway, or sweepstakes held by the Minnesota State Lottery.

Non-discrimination Notice

Unsolicited Ideas Policy

The Minnesota Lottery, including any of its employees, does not accept or consider unsolicited ideas, including ideas for new Lottery games, advertising campaigns, new promotions, new or improved products or technologies, product enhancements, processes, materials, marketing plans, or new product names. Please do not submit unsolicited ideas, original creative artwork, suggestions, or other works (“Submissions”) in any form to the Minnesota State Lottery or any Lottery employee. If you submit ideas despite Lottery policy of not accepting unsolicited ideas, regardless of any communication to the Lottery along with a submission, the following terms will apply. You agree that (1) your Submissions and their contents will automatically become the property of the Minnesota Lottery, without any compensation to you; (2) the Minnesota Lottery may use or redistribute the Submissions and their contents for any purpose and in any way; (3) there is no obligation for the Minnesota Lottery to review the submission; and (4) there is no obligation to keep any Submissions confidential and your submission may become public according to Minnesota law.
