Spotting a moose is high on every Minnesotan’s wish list, but few will ever get the chance to see one of these majestic creatures. Moose spend most of their time alone, deep in the marshes and woods in northern Minnesota and far away from humans.
Weighing in at up to a whopping 1,200 pounds, with antlers that can measure over 5 feet wide, the moose is the largest wild animal in the state. Here’s a little perspective . . . a full grown moose is about the same size as 5 white-tailed deer.
