Across the state, fans are pulling out their favorite jerseys and dusting off their Viking horns for the kickoff of another exciting MN Vikings season.

This year, we’re goin’ old school with a vintage look Minnesota Vikings Classic scratch ticket. To celebrate, we’re heading down memory lane to revisit some of our favorite Minnesota Vikings memories.

Remember driving to the edge of the city to tailgate at the old Met Stadium? There was nothing better than a warm day under the autumn sun and nothing more challenging than donning your boots, snowmobile suit, facemask, scarf, and mittens to brave the game when the snow was flying and the windchill was near zero. We watched the Purple People Eaters and Tarkenton lead the team to three Super Bowl appearances– all while Bud Grant stood on the frozen sidelines, refusing to put on a jacket!

Then we moved indoors. No more bundling up to survive the game. It might not have been pretty, but it was the loudest stadium in the league. Fans roared when Cunningham went long to Randy Moss for the score. We were the 12th man and cheered loud to give our team a home-field advantage. And then the roof came down. First during a Minnesota snowstorm, and then it was replaced by the glass and glitter of U.S. Bank Stadium.

So, dust off all your favorite traditions. Tailgate near the stadium, gather your neighbors in your garage, head to your favorite sports bar, or snuggle up on the couch. Don your lucky socks and purple and gold overalls. Fire up the grill and get the burgers, brats, and wings cookin’.

Practice your Skol chant and be ready, because when the Gjallarhorn sounds – it’s game time!
