At age 16 Kelly Ross began working part-time at the convenience store right off Highway 212 in Sacred Heart, a farming community of just over 500 people. Ten years later the owners offered her the opportunity to buy the store, and while it was daunting, she jumped at the chance.
Fast forward 16 years, and tiny Kelly’s Korner has earned a huge following as a beloved spot for entertainment in its tiny community. When you visit, employees will enjoy chatting with you and you’ll probably be asked which lottery game you’d like to play. You’ll be joined by many local customers who come in daily just to buy lottery. Come early for promotions, though—recently a buy $10/get a prize promotion sold out on the second day.
Kelly’s Korner also happily boasts many winners. Recently Kelly’s has sold some $1,000 and $500 winners, and in 2019 the store had a $123,000 Northstar Cash winner.
