Your True North isn’t on a map. Your True North is a feeling.
How do you embrace the north? Do you think cold is cool? Do you seek out ways to enjoy the cold crisp air and the crunch of the snow under your feet? This is the year to explore all that Minnesota has to offer during the winter season. Hit the slopes for the day, lace up your skates and glide across the ice or bundle up the family for a day of sledding or snowman making. Take a winter hike to a frozen waterfall, or a candle lit walk through a city park. Order take out from your neighborhood restaurant or favorite brewery, bundle up and enjoy the night sky around a backyard fire.

Maybe you’re more into the Danish concept of Hygge (pronounced hoo-ga). If you enjoy curling up with a snuggly blanket, a good book and a cup of cocoa on a snow day, then you’ve practiced hygge. Winter might be your time to stay in and binge watch your favorite shows, take in a virtual concert, learn to bake, or sit in front of the fire and relax into the season and practice the art of being cozy.

With all its natural beauty, Minnesota is a magical, winter wonder. Outdoor adventures, cultural treasures and culinary delights, it’s all here in the great north.
