What brings Minnesotans good luck? For St. Patrick’s Day, that’s what we wanted to find out! We asked our Facebook followers to let us know what brings them good luck in our monthly Share Your Lottery Story free contest. Here’s what some folks had to say:

“My husband and I must look at the ground a lot, because he finds lost coins all the time. When I have enough saved up, I use that "lucky money" to purchase lottery tickets.” - Diane, Cottage Grove

“My sister collected dimes. After she died, we started finding dimes in very odd, random places. One of those dimes has turned into my lucky locket scratching dime!” - Joyce, Welch

“It’s a Wednesday night ritual where I pick up my dog after work and pick out lotto tickets and snacks then head out for a walk.” - Paige, Pine Island

“I pet my lucky dog.” - Brent, Lakeville

“I look up in the sky and ask my dad for a little luck.” - Amy, Austin

“Getting good luck kisses from my grandbaby always brings me good luck.” - Patricia, Eveleth

“Getting together with a group of friends to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day. We pooled our money together and bought a bunch of tickets. We’re all dreaming about what we’d do if we won! When the drawing happened that night, we all gathered around, and the excitement was through the roof. We checked our numbers, and it turns out we won a small prize! Not the jackpot, but enough to celebrate with some Irish food and drinks. We had a blast, toasting our luck and planning for next year!” - Nicole, Hastings
