It was one hot summer! From International Falls to Winona, Ellendale to Eveleth and everywhere in between, lottery players all around the state were cashing in!
From May through October, 194 scratch and lotto game players hauled in wins from $25,000 up to a $2 million Powerball winner in September that was sold in Avon. In October, two winners split a $685,499 Gopher 5 jackpot. Big Gopher jackpots were also sold in Cloquet and Roseville. Scratch players claimed $500,000 wins in St. Louis Park, Waseca and Plymouth and one lucky Crazy Cash player claimed a $300,000 win in September.
