News Release: Cozy Cash
Local Artist Creates Fun Loon Design for New Minnesota Lottery Cozy Cash Scratch Game Now Available at Over 3,000 Retailers Statewide
Special Cozy Cash Event Will Be September 14 at Mall of America
ROSEVILLE, Minn. (Sept. 3, 2024) – The Minnesota Lottery recently collaborated with a local artist to create the design for the new Cozy Cash scratch game tickets that launch today at over 3,000 retail partners across the state.
This year’s artist is Kevin Cannon, a Minnesota cartoonist and illustrator who’s best known for his detailed maps, puzzles and children’s books. He recently illustrated the children’s book, The Right Thing To Do: The Joe Mauer Story.
“I’m excited to be part of the Minnesota Lottery’s artist series and create an eye-catching, fun design focused on being cozy in Minnesota,” said Kevin Cannon. “Fall is my favorite season and the ideas were just flowing on what shows coziness so I designed a loon and a bunny friend dressed in sweaters and scarves enjoying smores around a camp/bonfire.”
Since 2015 the Minnesota Lottery has collaborated with nine local artists to create a variety of scratch off games that celebrate the vibrant life, landmarks and legends of the state. For more information about the artists’ series and the artist’s Cozy Cash design, visit our Cozy Cash game page.
“Our players consistently tell us that our unique, artistic, Minnesota centric scratch tickets are one of their favorite parts of playing the Minnesota Lottery,” said Adam Prock, executive director of the Minnesota Lottery. “We enjoy watching these artists bring their visions to life with fun options for players when buying tickets from their favorite retailers.”
